All of these features have been made by Alan Sage. The ants were made by KWT volunteers, with guidence  from Alan. He has gone onto to contsruct 3 other features planned for the trail. They are shown here in the sequence they appear if you walk around the trail.

Heron with nest. Herne Bay may derive from Heron and some local
businesses use the heron as their logo including the High School and
the swimming baths.

alot of people tell me that they dident see this when
walked round. Why not it's a Heron about 7 feet tall,
you should have gone to spec savers?
No the reason is its about25 feet in the air,
in a tree. Every one is looking at ground level.

the giants ants have their own page as they formed a workshop

The Radfall: a road through the woods to Canterbury

The Drover, a look back in time, taking pigs to market

The Raptor. Possibly as high as 90 feet

A stand out feature acting as symbol not just for the art trail,
but  for the whole wider Blean Woodland Project
